Infinite Blue - September 2021 Update

Happy September! Only a few more weeks now until fall officially arrives. This month for Infinite Blue, the focus continues to be on the demo, finalizing the main script, and gathering assets. Take a look!

User Interface

Khoaisama has joined the team to do a custom UI as well as additional graphics. The UI for the demo is about halfway complete and work has begun to get it programmed into the game. I wanted something modern and sleek with 🌦 weather 🌦 vibes, and to of course feature the color blue!

Art

Our lead artist, Vaniraa, is currently working on six CGs for the demo. They’re going to be really cute, so I can’t wait for you to see them 🥰 Other than that, work will soon begin on getting sprites for side characters done (there’s 12 total). These will have one pose and one outfit each. As for finished work, the profile picture images for all six characters are in! These will be used as icons in the chatroom. Here’s Leo without a hat on for once :)

Voice Acting

Infinite Blue will have voiced phone calls, and potentially partial voice acting. There’s been a lot of interest from voice actors, so I’ve started to look into that. A few things are going on behind the scenes 👀 Otherwise, I’ll be doing a casting call once I have the side character sprites. I’m very excited about some of the voices I’ve heard so far!

What’s next?

- Main script editing - common route is about done, with Tobias’s route currently in the works
- Side character sprites
- Demo CGs - these will be exclusive to the demo!
- Special illustration set for a newsletter - 4/6 complete
- Finish GUI and programming
